Morning Game Drive Shared

It might sound unbelievable, but our reserve host 4 of the Big five just 10 minutes away from Hoedspruit town. Yes, large enough to host these amazing animals but small enough to almost guarantee a good predator sighting.

Come join us for an amazing experience while searching for those extraordinary sightings within this beautiful game reserve (5 500 ha/13 500 acre). Regular sightings of Lions, Leopard, Hyena, African Wild Dog, Cheetah and even Honey Badgers are not unusual. Plains game could be seen all over and good bird sightings, such as the Ground Hornbill are often seen.

As you are bumping along the wilderness in an open safari vehicle, you see the sun creeping up, about to light up the surrounding land. That glorious moment that awakens your senses! You see things clearly. Animals joining the wake up calls, the grunting wildebeests, the early morning bird calls, the flowers, sometimes even the Hyenas or roaring Lion, all ready to be captured in your soul (and camera lens). These are the moments that will become your memory makers. The luxury of experience and it is just the beginning of your day! You must stop and enjoy more coffee/tea/ with a snack in silence.....you are on safari! Totally makes getting up early, worth it!

Your experienced guide use this opportunity to find as many animals as possible, but in addition to finding the big animals, also view and learn about the birds, the plants and other interesting fauna and flora. You sit back and enjoy the Bushveld from the back of an open safari vehicle, learning about: animal habitats, tracks, dung, the area and its history.

We love taking photos and would gladly assist with camera settings and tips on getting that winning shot!

A shared game drive is where you book your seats and will be billed individually with the possibility of other guests joining on the same vehicle. Although the vehicle is registered to carry 9 x guests, we limit our shared game drives to six. This gives all our guests the opportunity to sit comfortable and next to a "window".

Booking Details

Best way to start such a lovely day will be to arrive on time, or even better, 15 minutes before departure time. Upon arrival, we will leave your vehicle in the secure parking area and exchange it for the open safari vehicle (Toyota Land Cruiser).

We will start our search for those extraordinary sightings which might include anything from a Lion kill to a Sugar bird building its nest with spider webs!

Mineral water will be supplied.

We will stop for a nice cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate at one of the many lookout points or waterholes. This is the time to stretch your legs and open your senses in order to take in everything nature has to offer. We will provide something to snack on before we carry on with our search.

The game drive will take approximately 3 hours after which we will drop you at your vehicle and say our good bye until next time!

Pick-up and drop-off services could be booked, but this is done separately.
