From OR Tambo to Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate

From OR Tambo you take the N12 east and carry on straight on the N4 , turn north on the R540 and it will carry you over the mountains, changing in Lydenburg to the R36 and the R537 for the final few kilometres.The journey take about 5 hours, be sure to stop in the quaint town of Dullstroom halfway for a coffee and pancakes rather than Alzu, and covers a lot of famous routes from the voortrekker days. 

From East Gate Airport to Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate

East Gate Airport to Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is a 15 minute drive. Take a right out of the airport and drive down Argyle Road for about 7 minutes (known unofficially as Guernsey Road) until you hit the security gate. Once passing through you’ll hit the R40 (known as the Klaserie Road). Turn right and follow the road for about 7 minutes until you hit the first stop street (there will be a KFC and petrol station on your left). Turn right at the stop street and follow the road down to the bottom. In less than a minute you will be at a large gate control which is the front entrance to Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. Drive into the left most entryway and provide the guards with your access codes to enter the estate.
