Wild about Hoedspruit (www.hoedspruit .co.za) was founded by Debby Thompson over 20 years ago and has been an integral part of the town and sharing of information for local businesses, NGOs, and events in the area.
Over the past few years and particularly over the pandemic the site didn’t receive the attention it deserved, and Debby concentrated most of her energy on the wonderful work she does for the community including Hoedspruit Farmwatch and victim support.
After purchasing the domain last year, I have partnered with Safariweb, a local web design and development company. We have rebranded and launched the new look website on 4 March 2023. The site is still very much in development phase and will be updated regularly going forward.
We will continue to list local businesses and services for free and offer several paid advertising opportunities for those looking for greater exposure.
Over time we will develop additional offerings and services for local businesses. We will keep you posted.

You’ll find everything from fresh bread and pastries to hand-crafted items, herbs and plants, jewellery, leather goods, art, stylish clothing, fresh produce, cheese, jams, honey and wonderful sauces while the friendly locals make it a pleasure to be there. Powered by the Kruger 2 Canyons Biosphere, the Farmers Market creates customer-access for small-scale growers, artists and crafters from the region. This monthly event brings everyone together, much like those charming markets in Europe's town squares selling everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts. It's a perfect way to spend a relaxed day, connecting with people and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Nourish Eco Village is a Non-profit Organisation based in Hoedspruit, en-route to the Kruger National Park. This passionate team of people is making a meaningful difference in their community whether it is creating a nurturing place to care for children and inspire young minds, producing their own fresh veggies and baking bread on rocket stoves or growing resilient wildlife communities through sustainable cradle-to-career life and livelihood improvements.
