Kruger Full Day Safari, Private Vehicle
Overview
A whole day in Kruger National Park with an open safari vehicle and a guide for your group alone. We collect you from your stay in Hoedspruit before sunrise, and it is about an hour's drive to the park gate, so you are in the park while the animals are still moving in the cool of the morning.
The day follows the sightings. There is coffee, tea and rusks in the morning, time at viewpoints and waterholes, and a lunch stop at one of Kruger's rest camps, where you buy what you like from the restaurant or shop. In the afternoon you keep driving, then head back to Hoedspruit and are dropped at your door.
Because the vehicle is yours, nobody else sets the pace. Stay with the lions for an hour, skip the stop you do not need, ask your guide every question you have. One price covers the vehicle for up to 6 guests. SANParks conservation fees are added when you book, at cost, for each guest.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
R7,500 for the vehicle, whether you are 1 guest or 6. SANParks conservation fees are added when you book, at cost, for each guest.
How is this different from your Full Day Kruger Safari?
Our Full Day Kruger Safari is shared: you join other guests and pay per person. This one is private. The vehicle and the guide are only for your group, and the day goes at your pace.
What time do you collect us?
Early. The day starts at 05:00, and we confirm your exact pickup time with you before the day. You are back in Hoedspruit in the late afternoon, about 12 hours later.
Is lunch included?
No. Bottled water and coffee, tea and rusks in the morning are included. Around midday you stop at one of Kruger's rest camps, where you can buy lunch at the restaurant or shop.
How do park fees work?
SANParks charges a conservation fee for each guest, each day. We add it to your booking at cost, by nationality. From 1 November 2026 an adult (12 and older) pays R140 as a South African, R296 as a SADC national and R692 as an international visitor; children pay R70, R147 and R345.
Do children count towards the 6?
Yes. Every guest takes a seat, so the vehicle takes up to 6 people, children included. The vehicle price stays the same; only the conservation fee is lower for children.
How do I book and pay?
Pick a date and the number of guests, then pay online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your booking is confirmed by email. Book by 20:00 the evening before.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancel up to 48 hours before the start and you get a full refund. Within 48 hours of the start there is no refund.
Will we see the Big 5?
Nobody can promise a sighting in a wild park. A full day gives you the best chance, and your guide knows where the animals have been seen.
