Guests have free access to the swimming pool at DAKTARI We do not have a swimming pool at Kamoka Camp however you are more than welcome to take a dip at our partnered NGO’s pool located only 5 minutes walk from us (use the swimming pool at your own risk, no lifeguard on site). Ten luxury build canvas en-suite tents, each sleeping two, are set on wooden decks built on stilts over a steep-sided riverbank. Wooden walkways interconnect the rooms, which are all in the upper reaches of tall riverine trees. But the thick African bush is just a glance away, inhabited by animals like lion, hyena and jackal whose calls can be heard in the dead of night making Kapama Buffalo Camp a truly authentic way to experience the African bush.

Our knowledgeable rangers will introduce you to the tracks, movements, sights and sounds which give you a window into the secrets of the African bush. We offer game drives with trained ranger and tracker in open 4×4 vehicles. A shaded camp hide allows safe observation of animals drinking at the nearby waterhole, or at the dam further away.
